Molly Countermine is a professor, a mother, and a musician. And she has some deep family connections with the department – her mother was the beloved Sherry Corneal, associate professor in Human Development and Family Studies, who passed away in May of 2019. Hear about Molly’s personal and career journey, what it’s like to have become one of the most recognized faces in out College community, and how she’s handling the new rules of social distancing.

Lori Gravish Hurtack is an assistant teaching professor, the Kinesiology Internship Coordinator, and the Kinesiology Alumni Relations Coordinator. Lori is fantastic at keeping the department’s alumni connected to her, to each other, and to the department. George Daniel directs Penn State’s unique Fly-Fishing Program – the oldest of its kind in the country. Hear about George’s journey to the realm of professional fly fisherman, world-ranked competitor, and author; his relationship with one of the sport’s icons, Joe Humphreys; and his plans for sharing his passion for fly fishing with Penn State students. 

Hear about Char’s time at Penn State as a student and former instructor in the Department of Kinesiology, field hockey athlete, her journey to the Olympics, her influences from her large family, and her long-time coaching career with Penn State. 

Joe is President of the HHD Alumni Society and a graduate of the college’s Professional Golf Management program and general manager of Penn State’s Golf Courses. Joe discusses his journey to Penn State as a student, his career as a PGA golf professional, and his new volunteer leadership role in the college. Krista studies early communication and language in learners with developmental and intellectual disabilities. Hear about Krista’s journey to HHD, her current work in the College, and her For Good Troupe, which is a local theatre group that contains individuals with Down syndrome as well as community peers without disabilities, and which stages semi-annual productions of musical theatre.

Husband and wife duo and Kinesiology alums, Brett and Corinne Feldman, joined forces to provide medicine to the homeless population in Los Angeles. Craig talks to them about their work with the homeless in LA, what took them from the Lehigh Valley to LA, and more.
